Coronavirus Update (March 11, 2020)
We are concerned about the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and we are monitoring the situation closely. While universities are closing and performing arts organizations are cancelling or postponing their seasons, we are patiently and optimistically waiting for the panic to end, the virus to subside, and life to return to normal.
As of right now, our workshops are STILL HAPPENING. We are in communication with the Missouri Symphony Orchestra and Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic administrations, as well as Maestri Kirk Trevor and Diane Wittry, and we will update you all as the situation develops.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we all should:
-
Wash our hands frequently and avoid touching our eyes, nose, and mouth
-
Avoid close contact with people who are sick and avoid being around other people in communities where COVID-19 is spreading
-
Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, and stay home if you are sick
-
Don't panic! Use common sense
